Use:

- if you have to open a door
- preparation of the tool in advance of the intervention
- the impulse tool’s pressure lasts about 8-12 hours, so even a self sufficient use is possible
- a second use against the same door or a following door is possible after 3-4 seconds reloading
- 12,5lit tray makes about 10 up to 15 impulses possible

Working:

In very few years, the fire impulse technology IFEX has revolutionized the way of fighting fires. It easily works: by means of impulses at a really high speed, water is thrown on fire within a thousandth second period. The impulse technology allows the impulse-shot to hit the fire at a over 400km/h speed and thanks to its high kinetic energy, the water penetrates the centre of the fire and puts out it in very short time. The fire extinguisher, IFEX gun, is fed by compressed air with a 25bar pressure that comes from a compressed air cylinder and gives high gushing out speed. The substance that puts fires out  is usually nothing but water and it has a 6bar pressure inside the container. The water-spout is thrown by a valve of high performance, that is placed between two chambers and that opens and closes in 20 thousandth second. The friction of the air that acts on the water flux shatters the fluid’s molecules and reduces drops from 700micron (standard dimension) to about 100micron. One litre of water can enlarge the cooling area to about 60m², unlike 5,8m² (standard dimension), so the reduction of temperature from 1000ºC to 40ºC is possible in very few seconds. The secret of the impulse technology sums up in a few words: efficient use of water. The smaller and quicker the micro-drops, the bigger their absorption-capacity and the quantity of water thrown on fires. One of the greatest benefit of this technology is the highly efficient use of the water: the work of the system and the constant water supply are two completely autonomous activities. A small quantity of water carried to the scene of the fire makes a fire prompt intervention possible and so it gives impulse technology high variability of use. The impulse fire system can use different substances in order to put out fires such as powder, foam, biological solvents and sand. If metal substances catch fire you can use even cement besides dry sand. The impulse technology practically puts out fires by using mostly water and air, the cheapest and the handiest substances to put out fires.
